Happy New Year!

I went into 2013 with a lot of goals, one of which was to paint more. I hit January pretty hard and completely my Space Wolves half way through. The Monthly Painting Challenge kept me motivated throughout the year and gave me a short term goal to reach for. I gave each army about 3 months of my time to keep things interesting. Even the table and some of the terrain were completed this year.
My Eldar got the short end of the stick and I only have completed that small batch after I lost some motivation around Thanksgiving and my school workload increased heavily due to a capstone class (another goal of 2013 - Get my Master's degree; which i'm currently 93% completed!). However, I have a whole load of Eldar more than half finished which I will complete before jumping back to Tyranids for their new codex (So excited!)

July Painting Challenge! Tyranids and Lord Bolton's sworn Dark Eldar

This month, I pledged to paint:
1 Homunculus
2 Venoms
10 Dark Eldar Warriors
I'll also finish up the last of my Tyranids which all only need one more highlight of green:
1 Trygon
1 Biovore
2 Tervigons
3 Hive guard
32 Termagaunts

I finished my pledge but also got a ravager and razorwing done as well!

The Flayed man. Lord Bolton's banner from Game of Thrones. This is my first time attempting freehand and i'm quite proud of my first attempt.

First time working with green stuff. They turned alright I guess, but there is a lot of room for improvement.

Any exposed skin I painted in this project (the Haemi and one of the warriors) i painted as if they were flayed. The white on his head is his exposed skull. It's a really bad picture regardless but it don't really pick it up to well unfortunately..

Tryanids! The last remaining models from my initial pledge in May and the ones I tacked on in June.
